Check PFL status through myEDD and SDI Online
EDD says SDI Online is the fastest way to get information about a Paid Family Leave claim. Claimants can view PFL claim status and payment history and upload supported documents through the official portal.
Sign in only through the official myEDD website. Keep your password and one-time verification codes private.
How to find the claim status
- Log in to myEDD.
- Select SDI Online.
- On the home page, select the link in the Status field for the PFL Claim ID you want to review.
- On the Claim Summary page, use the available Claim Status link for the information you need.
The exact information displayed depends on the claim and its current stage.
Check payment information separately
EDD says payment information is updated daily and is available through myEDD or the PFL automated self-service line. A claim-status label and a payment record answer different questions, so review both when a payment seems late.
A Notice of Computation shows a potential weekly amount based on wages; EDD states that this notice does not confirm eligibility. Use the claim summary and later benefit documents for the current decision.
When status alone does not answer the question
Use Ask EDD to send a secure PFL question or call the official PFL line if you need a live conversation. Include enough detail for EDD to identify the issue, but never send claim information through ConnectEDD.
If payment timing is your concern, continue with what to check when a PFL payment seems delayed.
